My only concern was giving owners an option for blood work for older pets going under anesthesia. I believe and many would agree, pets older than 5 y/o are required for blood work before going under anesthesia. It's always a risk and you're better safe than sorry. My baby is 7 and a half (I know I waited a really long time to spay her, shame on me), she should always be required as to any other older pets.
Great staff. Fast. Knowledgeable about your pets. Great nfp clinic.
I have used this vets for multiple pets that I have and have been quite happy . The affordable costs are a bonus.
I had a great experience here. My my dog is recovering well after being spayed. The prices are decent for low income owners who love their pets and want the best for them. The employees were very nice and every animal looked happy and well taken care of as I watched them leave with their owners, waiting for my baby.
They should include that in the price for older pets. Maybe even discount the blood work a little.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! I can not say enough good things about Anicira Veterinary Clinic. We went for end of life services for our beloved 13 year old dog. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure we were informed about each procedure and asked if we were ready before taking the next step. We were given as much time as we needed to say good-bye to our dog before and after the procedure. We never felt rushed or pressured with any decision we made. I would recommend this clinic to anyone.
After having an awful experience with another veterinary center it was a blessing to arrive at Anicira Veterinary Center. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, compassion, and knowledge involving animal care. I took my dog, Brandi to have a mass removed and her last remaining tooth extracted. She is recovering amazingly, already eating and barking after having surgery just hours ago. Medicine was arranged and set up with easy to follow instructions. Just made the entire experience so smooth. As long as I live in VA or the DC area I will continue to bring our 4 legged family members here. I'm not sure of her name (just yet) but the young woman who works up front, AMAZING! Thank you all for helping my beloved pet. If anyone is seeking medical care for their animal please consider this practice.
Some people don't realize there is a risk and it is very important to check your pets heart.
